Learning Kits Presented to First Batch of Apprentices in Upper West Akim

Officials gathered at the Upper West Akim District Assembly on Monday morning for the presentation of learning kits to beneficiaries of the National Apprenticeship Program, a government flagship for the youth(18-35)yrs. The event marked a key step in efforts to equip young people with practical skills and tools for training.

The ceremony brought together district leadership, government representatives, program coordinators, and beneficiaries. Speakers highlighted the role of technical skills in reducing unemployment and supporting local enterprise.

The learning kits were distributed to the first batch of apprentices across selected trades. The items are intended to support hands on training and improve learning outcomes throughout the apprenticeship period.

Addressing participants, the Hon. Drah Emmanuel(MP) and D.C.E Hon. Rebecca Chissah stressed the importance of commitment, discipline, and continuous learning. The District Coordinating Director Mrs. Ruhaima Salisu of the assembly with the Eastern Region coordinator for National Apprenticeship Program Mr. Emmanuel Asante encouraged beneficiaries to make full use of the opportunity and to contribute to local economic growth after completing their training.
