Render selfless services to the good people who voted you to power and do not wait till election day by Hon. Rebecca Chissah to assembly members at general assembly meeting.
The Hon Rebecca Chissah D.C.E for Upper West Akim District on 7th November 2025 in her sessional address at the General Assembly Meeting held the District Assembly Hall encouraged Assembly Members to be honest and render selfless service to the people who voted them into power and give resources that government gives to the people through the Assembly Members. She said this when she delivered two boxes of street light to all 38 Hon. Assembly Members and Government Appointees in the District.
Matters of concern such Budget approval, Electrification challenges, health, road, and Sanitation Company Contract (Zoon Lion) and Agriculture were keenly discussed.
Leaders in charge of the above areas mentioned above were invited to respond to the challenges confronting them and the resolutions made especially in the area of the unstable lighting system and Agriculture challenges on registration of farmers in some parts of the District .
The Hon. Emmanuel Drah MP for the Upper West Akim Constituency updated the General Assembly on his effort he has made to bring back the Contractor working on the Constituency’s Electrification challenges. He said the Contractor has agreed to continue the contract and is currently working with every equipment procured in the name of the District. His report was submitted to the house by the Presiding Member (PM) Hon. Muhammad Kofi Yasimoh and read by the D.C.E.
