On Friday, 15th May 2026, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Rebecca Chissah, accompanied by the District Coordinating Director, Ms. Ruhaima Salisu, the District Health Director, and other opinion leaders, officially commissioned newly constructed Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds at Katayensua and Asuokaw.

The commissioning of these health facilities forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to improve access to quality healthcare services and enhance healthcare delivery within the beneficiary communities.

The delegation also commissioned a newly constructed borehole at Asuaba to improve residents’ access to clean, safe, and reliable water. The project is expected to contribute significantly to improving sanitation and the overall well-being of the people in the community.
