Staff of the Upper West Akim District Assembly carried out a general clean up exercise on Friday, 10 April 2026 to improve sanitation within the Assembly.

The exercise followed the completion of major renovation works led by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Rebecca Chissah. The renovations aimed to provide a healthier and more suitable working environment for staff.

Hon. Rebecca Chissah and the District Coordinating Director, Ms. Ruhaima Salisu, actively supervised the exercise and led staff throughout the process. All offices were thoroughly cleaned, including the washrooms.

In her closing remarks, the D.C.E encouraged staff to participate in quarterly clean up exercises to maintain high sanitation standards and sustain a healthy work environment.

Ms. Ruhaima Salisu expressed appreciation to heads of departments for their cooperation and for ensuring active participation of their staff, which contributed to the success of the exercise.
