My first Day At School
UWADA & EDUCATION DIRECTORATE EMBARK ON MY FIRST DAY @ SCHOOL!!! Management of the UWADA together with the District's Education Directorate, on Tuesday, 19th January, 2021 began visitation to some selected basic schools in the District to welcome new pupils into KG1 as well as those who have been promoted to Primary 1. The planed visitation is scheduled for Tuesday 19th January, 2021 and Wednesday, 20th January, 2021 and intended to cover 10 selected basic schools in the district. The Hon. District Chief Executive, Mr. Eugene Sackey, who was the leader of the entourage encouraged the pupils to learn hard and emulate good behaviour so that they could become worthy people in the society. he advised them to take their schooling and studies very serious and come to school everyday and also encouraged them to keep practicing the COVID-19 preventive measures i.e wearing of nose masks, washing of hands and use of the alcohol based hand sanitizer. The D.C.E admonished the teachers to take good care of the pupils especially the children during this era of COVID pandemic. The pupils were presented with exercise books, pencils, slates, nose masks, school uniforms and assorted drinks and biscuits to welcome them to school and the level for the first time. some parents who were around the school premises to register their wards expressed much joy for the visit..Read more...
36th Farmers day celebration
Farmers day celebration is an annual celebration in Ghana which will be held on the first Friday in November to celebrate and reward the hardworking farmers in Ghana who are working tirelessly to feed the nation through their harvest. The celebration is held at both national and district level to reward outstanding farmers that are producing crops and livestock at various scales. The Upper West Akim District Assembly will hold this year’s celebration at the Presbyterian Senior High School Park, Adeiso. In attendance will be Hon. Eugene Sackey (DCE Upper West Akim District Assembly), Hon. Bekoe Derek Darko Ohene Assifo (MP Upper West Akim). The theme for the celebration is “Ensuring AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT under COVID-19 Opportunities and Challenges”.Read more...

UNIVERSITIES SHOULD INVEST IN DIGITAL PLATFORMS.
