The Hon. D.C.E Mr. Eugene Sackey appreciated all the disabled persons for attending the program and also encouraged them all by saying, it’s the thoughtful agenda of the government administration lead by H.E Nana Addo to make sure all persons who are disabled in the country be supported to have something which will keep them safe and sound thus the introduction of support them with the below items through the assemblies to support their daily livelihood.
The Disabled Persons had a support in under listed:SEED CAPITAL / EXPANSION OF PWD BUSINESSES. The Committee supported approved and supported 11 disabled persons with Ghc11, 000.00 out of which 6 persons were having existing business and 5 others to begin new businesses
MEDICAL SUPPORT: An amount of Ghc2, 000.00 was approved and presented to support a child suffering from a health challenge requiring surgery.
SEWING MACHINES: The Committee allocated and approved the purchases of One Singer /Butterfly & One Commercial Sewing Machine. All items were presented to beneficiary.
DEEP FREEZERS: The Committee approved of and purchased Seven (7) Deep Freezers. The deep freezers were all presented to the beneficiaries.
HAIR DRYERS: Four Hair Dryers were approved and purchased by the Committee. Presentations were made to all beneficiaries. The Hon. D.C.E as well as the D.C.D admonished the beneficiaries to put to good use the support they have received from the Assembly so that the dependency ratio in the district will be reduced and also fill free to let the Assembly know of any challenge they face. This they said will let the assembly be connected to them.
