Upper West Akim District (E/R), the President's nominee for the Upper West Akim District Chief Executive, has been unanimously approved by Assembly members. He polled 38 "Yes" votes out of 38 votes cast representing 100 percent. In his address, Hon Sackey said his tenure of office would see close collaboration with the MP, traditional authorities, Assembly members, and all staff of the Upper West Akim District. He said he would collaborate with the MP in the effective joint use of the Common Fund towards the improvement of the living standards of the people. The elected DCE commended efforts of the Eastern Regional Minister. "I want to assure you that, I would work closely with my Assembly members especially the new elected Presiding Member towards the development of the Assembly."
