Uwada Marks First Day At School
UWADA & EDUCATION DIRECTORATE EMBARK ON MY FIRST DAY @ SCHOOL!!! Management of the UWADA together with the District's Education Directorate, on Tuesday, 19th January, 2021 began visitation to some selected basic schools in the District to welcome new pupils into KG1 as well as those who have been promoted to Primary 1. The planed visitation is scheduled for Tuesday 19th January, 2021 and Wednesday, 20th January, 2021 and intended to cover 10 selected basic schools in the district. The Hon. District Chief Executive, Mr. Eugene Sackey, who was the leader of the entourage encouraged the pupils to learn hard and emulate good behaviour so that they could become worthy people in the society. UWADA -Supports PWDs with items and Cash.
Upper West Akim District Assembly, has distributed a number of items and an amount of GH¢33,000.00, , to 50 Persons with Disability (PWDs), in the district to enhance their livelihoods. The items, included deep freezers, industrial machines, hair dryers, rollers, towels, wheel chairs, walking aids and white cane purchased from the share of the District Disability Fund.
