The Upper West Akim District Health Directorate on Monday 29th March, 2021 begun the administration of COVID-19 Vaccine. The district's health director Mr. Thomas Azurago said the step to begin the vaccination is in the direction as has been scheduled nation wide. He said the Health workers are the frontline workers and it's prudent they vaccinate themselves before engaging the people of Upper West Akim District to prevent the possibility of spread. The Upper West Akim District Health Directorate is looking forward to vaccinate about 130 staff. 85 staff were administered the vaccine.
