UPPER WEST AKIM DISTRICT ASSEMBLY IN COLLABORATION WITH COCOA LIFE CUTS SOD FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A CHARMBER AND HALL SELF CONTAINED BUILDING FACILITY!!! Coca Life, a vibrant intervention organisation helping farmers to gain knowledge and skills to improve their livelihoods, strengthen their communities and inspire the next generation of cocoa farmers on Thursday 9th February, 2023 had a sod cutting ceremony at Asuokaw a Community in the Upper West Akim District to kick-start the construction of a charmber and Hall Self Contained building. The building when completed will provide means of accommodation to health workers at the Asuokaw CHIPS Health Facility. The Hon. D.C.E Mr. Eugene Sackey led a team of delegation from the District Assembly for the soared cutting ceremony. The D.C.E in his address expressed profound appreciation to the chief of Asuokaw for his positive gesture to making sure the needed provisions for the development of his community is always made available without frustration whenever the Assembly knock on his door. Mr. Eugene Sackey further extended his much appreciation to Cocoa Life for their purposeful intention to helping develop our country through their support to farmers sitting number of projects done in the District. He encouraged the people of Asuokaw to contribute quota for a successful completion of the project. Mr. Eugene Sackey said His office together with the Hon. MP and Deputy Minister for Transport Mr. Fredrick Adom Obeng a the Co-ordinating Director Mr. Richmond Antwi-Boateng will see to it that a mechanised borehole is provided to supply water to the facility. He concluded by encouraging Cocoa Life to feel free to seek any technical support through the Assembly's Engineer. Mr. Maxwell Sesi the manager of Cocoa Life said the project is earmarked for completion within 1 year and his team will humbly request total cooperation from the people of Asuokaw and the Assembly. Mr. S.O Koranteng the vice to the Cocoa Life team showed the drawings of the project to the Hon. D.C.E and dignitaries present. The Chief of Asuokaw Barima Kwame Ofori happily received the kind gesture from Cocoa Life and promised his support for the successful completion of the project. He entreated the people Asuokaw to give their committed support to help complete the project. He further advised that Cocoa Life should make sure they stick to one contractor for perfect and quality work done. He finally thanked the Hon. D.C.E Mr Eugene Sackey and and all present and wish everyone a safe journey back to their various destinations.
